Brown County Youth Fair features new special needs show, new sale time

The Brown County Youth Fair will feature a show for special needs kids this year. The show for special needs kids will be Tuesday at 11 am. Miss Brown County Fair Association Tara Glasscock told the KXYL Morning News that the show will provide an amazing experience for the kids, as well as those helping in the show.

Also changing this year will be the time of the awards and premium sale. Traditionally held Saturday at 5 p.m., this year the awards ceremony and premium sale will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the livestock show barn. Glassock said the change was so that the sale didn’t run past midnight as it has in previous years.

The Brown County Youth Fair kicks off Monday, Jan. 8 with the home-economics divisions. There will also be an ag-mechanics show on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Livestock divisions will begin Wednesday. All activities will be at the Brown County Youth Fairgrounds on US Hwy. 377 South in Brownwood.
